Grace is the name of one of the most legendary Irishwomen, pirate queen Grace O’Malley from Co. Mayo. She was fierce leader of her people, and even met with Queen Elizabeth I of England in 1593. In Irish Gaelic it is spelled Grainne and pronounced “grawn-ya.”
