Connemara is the name of the coastal region of Co. Galway in Ireland known for its spectacular rugged scenery, and also it’s beautiful ponies! Filming for some of The Quiet Man happened in Connemara, and it is also know as the “Connacht,” a Gaelic-speaking part of the country.
